Sweep the Hooch registration now open

image

The annual Chattahoochee River cleanup, “Sweep the Hooch” will be Saturday, April 11. Last year 580 volunteers removed 7.275 tons of river refuse with more than half ton of trash recycled. That’s 14,500 pounds!!!

ORCTU members will be working alongside other volunteers at Settles Bridge, and we’ll be concentrating on the banks of the river, so chest waders are not needed. Join us for a great day outdoors, and help keep one of the southeast’s premier tailwaters clean.

Advance registration required here

Danny Jackson will be coordinating our participation, including carpooling from Athens, so contact him if you have any questions (dj72361@gmail.com), and be sure to register using the link above. See you on the river!
