Tonight’s Oconee River Chapter of Trout Unlimited meeting will begin at 7pm at Locos Grill & Pub on the Eastside of Athens(Barnett Shoals road). Doors open @ 6:30, so come by and grab a drink or dinner and to meet some of our members—exaggerated fishing tales are to be expected.
Tonight’s speaker will be Seth Wenger, Director of the River Basin Center and faculty member at The Odum School of Ecology for The University of Georgia. Seth is a distinguished ecologist with research interests in climate change and its potential effects on trout and other salmonids and the effects of urbanization on freshwater ecosystems, just to name a few. He is a conservation specialist and well of invaluable information for all things trout. You don’t want to miss it!
